Our Purpose

Strong communities grow from strong roots.

The Alma-Westville Community Program was founded in August 2025 to meet an immediate need — and to build something lasting.

We connect neighbours across Pictou County with food, resources, education, and each other, so that support today becomes stability and opportunity tomorrow.

How We Help

Nourish. Flourish. Empower.

Nourish

Providing essential food, care, and resources for vulnerable neighbours, ensuring every member of our community is supported and can focus on tomorrow.

Flourish

Supporting families and individuals with education, skill-building, and inclusive opportunities, so they can grow, succeed, and contribute fully to our community.

Empower

Building resilience and self-reliance by connecting people to the tools, knowledge, and networks they need, while fostering long-term solutions that enable all residents to move beyond crisis and live a life of dignity, wellbeing, and possibility.

Our Impact

Growing impact, together.

Westville Community Pantry

AWCP is a proud supporter of the Westville Community Pantry, located just inside the Westville Library. The Pantry provides barrier-free access to non-perishable food, hygiene products, and other essentials for anyone in need.

To date, AWCP has contributed over $500 in food, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies through fundraising initiatives and the personal generosity of our directors.
